April 9, 2025 - Ladies Day at Newport Harbor LBC

Our first day of Ladies Day this year was hosted by Newport Harbor and their hospitality outdid themselves. Breakfast items in the morning and a great selection for lunch. A big thank you to Bobby Milas and Mike Ruggles for taking care of the greens, rolling, marking tees and setting everything up for us to play. Heather Stewart, the Head Coach for SWD demonstrated the correct way to lay your mat and also how to measure bowls from the green, as well as in the ditch. This was a beautiful presentation and we thank her for sharing her knowledge. Our motto is the more the merrier and we had 54 Ladies from 9 different clubs attending this time.

The following ladies attended Ladies Day for the first time ever and we hope to continue seeing them:

The Groves: Sheila Beingessner; From Laguna Beach: Carina Ormond and Kim Zebot;
Laguna Woods: Kelley Lacey and Rosemary Scholl; From Newport Harbor: Bonnie O’Donnel
Santa Ana: Angela Laws and Terri Bisch.
